Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing BANGTEL. Please read the following Terms carefully because they constitute a legal agreement between BANGTEL and you. BY BOOKING WITH BANGTEL, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONFIRM THAT YOU ARE LEGALLY COMPETENT TO DO SO. 

1. Cancellation Policy. 

A. Direct bookings. For reservations made via BANGTEL, you may cancel up to 45 days before your stay for a refund. Refunds are paid in full less a 4% processing fee. 

If a cancellation is made within 45 days of your reservation date, a BANGTEL travel credit for the full value of the booking will be issued. Credit is valid for one year from the issue date and can only be used once for one reservation. Stays booked with a BANGTEL travel credit are not eligible for a refund or reissue of travel credit if the rescheduled reservation is canceled. 

B. Airbnb/VRBO. If you booked your reservation on another site (i.e. Airbnb), please refer to your policy on the specific platform. 

C. Midterm Stays. All midterm stays (28 days or longer) have a strict non-refundable cancellation policy. If a midterm stay is canceled and the stay dates have not been paid in full upfront, BANGTEL reserves the right to the security deposit as well as collecting the remaining full payment due of the contracted stay.

D. Discounts. Any and all stays that receive a discounted rate from the advertised rate are not eligible for a refund. If you need to cancel, you are eligible for a stay credit. 

E. Photoshoots, Meetings & Events. Photoshoots, meetings and events are not eligible for a refund. You may be eligible to pay a cancellation fee for a future stay credit pending BANGTEL approval. 

2. Photo ID/Minimum Age Requirement. 

You must provide a valid photo ID or BANGTEL has the right to refuse your booking. By Booking with BANGTEL, you certify that you are of age. The minimum age to rent is 25. 

All Palm Springs guests must share a copy of their photo id, sign our rental agreement, and Good Neighbor brochure from the city of Palm Springs relaying the city’s rules and regulations. 

3. Card Authorization. *Does not apply to Airbnb bookings. 

A card authorization up to $900 may be held on your card to cover additional charges that may be incurred, including costs to pay for damages, lost items and/or additional cleaning charges. For photoshoots or events, depending on the size, the card authorization may be up to $1,500.

The hold will be placed within 1 day of check-in and released within 7 days from check out, provided that there are no additional charges.

4. Midterm Security Deposit. *Does not apply to Airbnb bookings.

BANGTEL reserves the right to request a security deposit. All midterm stays require a security deposit, which must be collected within 24 hours of arrival. The security deposit will be returned via the same means it was paid within 14 days of a guest’s departure, pending no damages or repairs. 

5. Check-in / Checkout. 

BANGTEL would love for you to stay longer, pending availability. If you need extra time, just send us a message and we would be happy to add the time onto your stay. 

We have the following booked check-in/check out times for your stay: 

Check-in: 4:00 PM 

Checkout: 11:00 AM 

These check-in/check-out times are strictly applied, unless alternative arrangements are made in advance and in writing with BANGTEL. 

Earlier check-in and later check out times may be available for your stay. We can guarantee this option only 24-48 hours prior to your arrival as availability depends on the group checking out prior to your standard arrival and/or after your standard departure times. 

10 AM Early Check-in = $150 

1 PM Early Check-in = $75 

1 PM Late Check out = $75 

4 PM Late Check out  = $150 

Check-in codes and parking details will be sent within 24 prior to  your arrival. 

6. Checkout Instructions. 

Please complete the following prior to your check out: 

A. Cleanup and properly dispose of all your trash in the appropriate receptacles outside of the property. Make sure to adhere to signage as there may be fines for using the incorrect receptacles. 

B. Return any moved furniture or appliances to their original locations. 

C. Turn off all the lights.

D. Set the thermostat to 58° in the winter and 72° in the summer at all Chicago & Michigan locations. At the Palm Springs location, set the thermostat to 82° in the summer and OFF in the winter. 

E. Shut and lock all doors and windows. 

F. Return all keys to their original locations, when applicable. 

G. Alert BANGTEL of any damages to the property, or lost or damaged items. 

7. Same Condition. 

You acknowledge that as of check-in, the property is in good condition, except for any defect you immediately report to BANGTEL in writing. You agree to leave the property in the same condition as when you arrived. 

8. Damages or Lost Items. 

You are responsible for any and all damage caused by you, your guests and any pets to the property, premises, appliances, kitchen utensils and equipment, and/or furnishings, and any lost items. BANGTEL will charge the card on file with advanced written notice of the damage or loss. You expressly waive any right to object to BANGTEL’s charges for any damages or lost items. IF THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGES CANNOT BE COVERED IN FULL BY YOUR CARD ON FILE OR THE SECURITY DEPOSIT TAKEN, THEN YOU HEREBY AGREE TO PAY BANGTEL FOR ANY OUTSTANDING CHARGES WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS OF BANGTEL NOTIFYING YOU IN WRITING OF THE CHARGES. If BANGTEL is forced to take legal action to recover the damages, you agree to pay BANGTEL for its legal fees and costs incurred by BANGTEL, in addition to the damages. 

By way of example, the following damages costs shall apply: 

A. Appliances. You will be charged for the cost to clean, repair or replace any damaged or lost appliances. 

B. Kitchen Utensils and Equipment. You will be charged for the cost to replace any damaged or lost kitchen utensils and equipment. 

C. Furnishings. You will be charged for the cost to clean, repair or replace any damaged or lost furnishings. 

D. Keys. YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO MAKE ANY COPIES OF KEYS. There is a $150 charge for any lost key or fob. If you or someone in your party leaves with a key or fob, it must be returned to BANGTEL within 5 business days, or you will be charged the $150 fee. If you mail the taken key or fob back to BANGTEL, please provide BANGTEL with shipping and tracking information. 

E. Smoking. SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE PROPERTY. There is a $1,000 charge for smoking. The fine applies if you are caught smoking inside the property or if there is evidence of smoking, including a lingering smell of smoke after check out. You may smoke outside, but all waste must be properly disposed of. 

F. Party Glitter and/or Confetti. PARTY GLITTER OR CONFETTI IS NOT ALLOWED. Party glitter and confetti is fun, but very difficultt for BANGTEL’s cleaning staff to clean up. There is a $250 charge for any party glitter or confetti inside the property or on the premises. 

G. Additional Cleaning. You will be charged at BANGTEL’s discretion for any additional cleanings, including, for example, scuff marks, stains, markings on the walls, after a party, after your pet(s), or if the cleaning staff is required to move furniture or appliances back to their original locations or pick up cigarette remnants left outside. 

9. Maximum Occupancy. 

The number of people who may be at the BANGTEL property at one time is the same number of people specified on the reservation confirmation. If you plan to invite additional guests, you must obtain BANGTEL’s prior written permission. Additional fees apply for guests over the maximum number of guests allowed. 

10. Photo Shoots.

No professional photos or videos are permitted without BANGTEL’s prior written permission. Please contact BANGTEL prior to booking. Special rates, fees and additional conditions may apply. If a photo or video shoot takes place without BANGTEL’s permission (or there is evidence of the same), BANGTEL will charge a fee at its discretion. 

A professional photoshoot is anything used for branding or commercial use either for yourself, if you are an influencer, marketer/brand, for a product or service, commercial usage, weddings, etc. If you are unsure if your photography constitutes a professional photoshoot, we are happy to review.

Overtime will be billed at time and a half. Overtime is any time billed outside of your contracted shoot hours.

Please inquire prior if a tech scout is available. If the rate for the shoot day(s) is under $3,000, the tech scout will be billed at $100 per hour with a one hour minimum. 

11. Special Occasions. 

For any  events, special occasion hostings including but not limited to weddings, corporate functions, bridal parties or related events including inviting other persons not disclosed in the reservation guest count, shall not be permitted on the property for any reason without prior written permission from BANGTEL. Additional fees apply. 

A violation of this clause shall immediately cause the property manager to terminate the rental agreement and renter to immediately vacate the premises. Manager shall impose a fee of up to $5,000 for any violation of this provision, and if such event is either a wedding or similar ceremony or an event in which the number of Occupants increases over  the guest count disclosed at the time of booking, such fee shall increase to $10,000, unless express written consent has been provided by BANGTEL to Occupant. 

Overtime will be billed at time and a half. Overtime is any time billed outside of your contracted time.

No gatherings of any kind over the number of guests allotted to book in Palm Springs are allowed. 

12. Special Requests. 

BANGTEL will make reasonable efforts to accommodate reasonable special requests, so do not hesitate to ask. The special requests must be made in advance of your arrival. BANGTEL will charge a convenience fee based on several factors, including the size and rarity of the request, in addition to the costs of any purchased items. Special requests may include groceries, decorating, air mattresses and bedding set up prior to arrival, libations, event tickets, dinner reservations or other special requests. 

13. Do Not Disturb the Other Tenants or Neighbors. 

Please respect the other tenants and neighbors, and do not make any noise in or around the property (including hallways and common areas) or play music at levels that disturb the other tenants or neighbors past the hours of 10 pm. If a noise complaint is raised, you may be subject to a noise violation fee of $500 and evicted without a refund of the amount paid to stay and a potential to forfeit your security deposit. 

In Palm Springs, California, there is a zero tolerance policy with the city of Palm Springs for loud music played outside of the house. If a noise complaint is raised, you will be subject to a $1,500 noise violation fee, in addition to the City’s $500 noise violation fee and evicted without a refund of the amount paid to stay plus a forfeiture of your security deposit. 

14. Shoes. 

BANGTEL loves your shoes, but we ask that you and your guests please remove them when in the property to protect the floors and reduce the noise for any neighbors.

15. Pets.

BANGTEL loves your pets, but you must abide by the below guidelines:

1. You must obtain BANGTEL’s written permission prior to bringing your pet(s).

2. Your pet(s) must be house trained.

3. BANGTEL has the right to limit the number of pets. 

4. There is a $150 fee per pet that must be paid prior to your check-in. If there is evidence of a pet that was not authorized, a $500 fine will be applied. 

5. If the stay is longer than 7 days and a pet is added to the stay, the pet fee is increased to $250 per pet. Guests are responsible for the difference, if charged the introductory pet fee. 

6. You must pick up after your pet(s) and dispose of any waste in a plastic bag.

7. Do not allow your pet(s) to be on the furniture or beds. 

8. Do not leave your pet(s) unattended, unless they are in a crate. 

9. BANGTEL will charge for cleaning or repairs needed as a result of your pet(s). BANGTEL may also charge a fee for incessant barking or noise complaints.

16. Service Animals. 

Service animals must be notified to BANGTEL in advance in writing, in which case the pet fee can be waived. All pet rules from #15 apply.

17. Parking. 

There are no parking spaces included with any Chicago rentals. 

1. Our ALOHA building has 2 parking spots available on-site for $25 per night. Please inquire if needed as it is based on a first come, first served basis. 

2. Our El Motel building has covered, secured, garage parking onsite for 2 parking spots for $35 per night per spot. Please inquire if needed as it is based on a first come, first served basis. 

3. We will provide you with a map of free nearby parking two weeks prior to your check-in. This map can be found in your digital guidebook. 

4. We also recommend the SpotHero app for additional paid reserved parking in the areas. 

5. Our Palm Springs location has parking for 2 vehicles on the driveway and 1 vehicle on the street. The garage is not available for guest use. 

6. BANGTEL is not liable for parking tickets, towing or damage. 

7. Parking fees are non-refundable. 

18. Pool Heat. Palm Springs Only. There is no pool heat option at our Love Inn location. 

A. Pool heat is available during the winter months (Oct 1 to May 1).

B. BANGTEL will need to be notified at least 48 hours prior to check-in for this service. 

C. The cost is $85/day. 

D. It is only available for the full duration of the stay, we are unable to heat for only a certain number of days. 

E. Temperature is set at 88 degrees for your stay and is not adjustable. 

F. The pool is not heated in the summer, as it is not necessary. 

Stay 21 days or under: 

1. The pool heat option will be billed at $85/day for the duration of your stay. 

2. Payment will need to be made prior to check-in and is non-refundable. 

Stays over 21 days:

A. The cost of pool heat will be billed based on the actual gas bill amount for your stay. 

B. A deposit in addition to the security deposit or damage hold will be taken at the time of booking.

C. The cost will be billed based on the guest’s actual stay dates that correlate to the gas bill. Any difference, will be charged or refunded accordingly.

D. Bill will be reconciled within 14 days of checkout. 

19. Insurance. 

You are solely responsible for purchasing adequate insurance to cover all persons staying in or visiting the property, to cover, for example, luggage loss, theft, larceny, accidents, illness, medical expenses, cancellation expenses and legal fees.

20. Midterm Stays. 

A. If the stay is longer than 30 days, rent is due at the time of booking. Subsequent months rent will be due 10 days prior to the renewal date. 

B. If rent is paid 10 days late, guests will incur a $75 late fee.

C. If the stay is longer than one week and you are renting the entire home (this does not apply to co-living rent by the room guests), the guest is required to pay a $150 cleaning fee every week thereafter. The weekly cleaning schedule will be agreed upon.

D. Midterm co-living guest stays, which rent by the room, are required to pay a $25 cleaning fee every week thereafter the first week of arrival. 

21. Bunk Beds. 

Guests are advised that the unit may contain bunk beds. Guest  agrees to use the bunk beds at his/her own risk and to hold the host harmless for any damage and/or injury caused by guest’s said use of a bunk bed. Guests shall be liable for any damage caused to the bunk bed.

22. Aloha Bathtub in Primary Bedroom Ensuite Bathroom. 

A. Guests are not able to use the large blue bathtub in this bathroom. 

B. The tub is for decorative purposes ONLY. Do not run the water. 

C. Tub has a weight limit of 250 lbs. 

23. Lawful. 

You agree to comply with all laws, regulations and ordinances in connection with your and your guests’ use of the property. Any illegal or abusive use of BANGTEL’s internet access is not allowed.

24. Limitation of Liability. 

BANGTEL is not responsible for any damages, accidents, injuries, death or illness that occur to you, your guests or any pets while at the property or on the premises. 

25. Personal Items. 

BANGTEL is not responsible for any of your or your guests’ personal items that may be misplaced, stolen or left behind. BANGTEL will make reasonable efforts to return personal items left behind, at your expense.

26. Indemnity. 

USE OF THE BANGTEL PROPERTY AND PREMISES BY YOU AND YOUR GUESTS IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR AND THEIR OWN RISK. You agree to indemnify and hold BANGTEL, its affiliates, officers, owners, employees, independent contractors, agents and representatives harmless from any and all actions, claims, liabilities, damages, demands, costs, losses and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, court costs and other expenses, relating to or arising out of your and your guests use of the property or premises, breach or alleged breach of this Agreement, negligence or violation of any laws, regulations or ordinances, or any rights of another person or entity. 

27. Violent Behavior. 

Guests agree to refrain from acts of violence or conduct that destroys the peaceful enjoyment of neighbors, or persons residing in the immediate vicinity of the premises. Behavior of a violent nature will not be tolerated in any way whatsoever. Guests who commit acts of a violent nature including, but not limited to fighting, physical and verbal threats and vandalism may be immediately removed from the property without a refund.  

28. Intellectual Property. 

You do not have any right, title or interest in or to any of the trademarks, trade dress, service marks, trade names or copyrights of BANGTEL. Unauthorized use of the name “BANGTEL” or images of the BANGTEL properties, including interior, exterior and/or surroundings for use in the selling, advertising, marketing or promotion of any product, service or business or for use in any TV or film production is unlawful and will be pursued with appropriate legal action. 

29. Violation of Agreement. 

If you or any guest violates any of the terms of this Agreement, BANGTEL may terminate the agreement and immediately evict you from the property and you forfeit all payments and any security deposit. You will also be liable to pay any damages to BANGTEL, including any and all legal costs and fees incurred.
